Infographic

Using Canva, I designed and developed a math workshop guide for the sixth-grade team at Mayfield Intermediate School. This infographic simplifies the math workshop procedures.

Process: Proceeding multiple professional development meetings, I analyzed our team’s needs for this new style of math educator. I designed a clear visual infographic. I extracted the necessary information to make the math workshop steps understandable and accessible to all.

Animation

This short animation was designed on Animaker. Creating content that integrates curriculum in an engaging way is a passion of mine!

Process: This content has been developed for virtual or in-person user interaction.  Analyzing student need for real-life examples when it comes to unit rate, I designed a playful animation. Strategically developed using learning objectives; the interactive grocery store takes the learner through a typical experience. The learner can visualize oneself in the store purchasing cookies. Throughout the animation there are instructional messages, steps, and check-ins for learner engagement. Implementation of unit rate calculations is necessary to master this skill.

Get to know you Checklist

As an educator, getting to know your learners is a critical part of the design process. Beginning with a Yes, No, Maybe checklist such as this will allow you to assess the needs of your learners.

Utilizing this checklist, you can quantify the data to give you a brief needs assessment. Doing this quickly will permit you the privilege of a basic understanding of your learners. Learning styles, routines, and likes and dislikes can ease your design process.

Articulate - Rise 360

As sixth grade science lead, I designed this Articulate -Rise 360 to give learners knowledge of different energy forms.

Process: The learning goal is to understand how energy transforms from one form to another. Utilizing learning objects from curriculum documents drive learner experience. Designing materials that are self-guided for independent use or instructor lead, allow the facilitator to choose the best learning practice. Evaluating learners understanding after completion of energy transformation on Articulate, can assess effectiveness of the experience. Evaluation of each experience is necessary for efficiency.

Articulate - Storyline

Often times planning can be difficult to approach.

I identified a need for a quick, eLearning module to go over the elements of planning.

Process: The objective of this eLearning module is to learn Planning 101. The basic necessities to event planning will allow the learner to be more confident.
